Comfort & Safety at Överhörnäs Camping
Welcome to our park!
To ensure all our guests have a safe and wonderful stay, we have established a few simple guidelines. Our staff is on-site to help if you have any questions. If you have a concern or complaint, please contact us directly so we can resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
Arrival and Departure
- Check-in: Always begin your stay by visiting the front desk upon arrival.
- Check-out: Camping sites and cabins must be cleaned and vacated by 12:00 PM on the day of departure, unless otherwise agreed. Please let us know in advance when you plan to check out.
- Finding Your Way: If you are unsure about the specific rules for your assigned site, feel free to ask us!
Your Equipment and Safety
- Placement: Only one camping unit is permitted per site. RVs and campers must be backed into the right side of the site, maintaining at least a 4-meter (approx. 13 feet) safety distance from neighbors to minimize fire risk.
- Electricity & Propane: As a guest, you are responsible for ensuring your electrical and propane equipment is approved and safe. Electrical outlets at the sites are 10 amps.
- Fire Safety: Fire extinguishers are marked on the area map and indicated by fire hydrant signs throughout the park.
- Environment: Wastewater must be collected in a sealed container if a direct hookup is not available at your site. Emptying of latrines and gray water takes place at our station next to the information board.
Vehicles and Parking
- Parking: One car per site is permitted. Visitors must park in the lot next to the front desk.
- Safe Traffic: Drive at a walking pace and only as much as necessary. To ensure everyone gets a good night's sleep, a motor ban is in effect on the grounds between 12:00 AM and 6:00 AM. You are not permitted to use your access tag to let unauthorized vehicles into the park.
Respect for Others
- Quiet Hours: Please be considerate around the clock, but the park must be completely quiet between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
- Play & Games: We love seeing kids have fun! Please ensure that children's play does not disturb neighbors. For safety reasons, please refrain from playing ball games directly among the campsites.
- Pets: Our four-legged friends must be kept on a short leash and walked outside the park grounds. Pets are not allowed in common indoor facilities.
- Grilling: Always use a grill (no disposable grills directly on the grass) and keep water nearby. Open fires are only permitted at the designated BBQ area down by the pier.
Common Areas & Environment
- Keep it Clean: Let’s work together to keep the park litter-free! Sort your trash in the bins located behind the restroom building. Bulk waste (furniture, electronics, etc.) must be taken by the guest to a local recycling center.
- Sanitary Facilities: Please leave the kitchen, showers, and restrooms in the condition you would like to find them. Pots and pans should be washed in the kitchen area, not at the water stations.
- Car Wash: Washing vehicles on the campground property is not permitted.
Liability and Terms
Överhörnäs Camping is not responsible for damage to or loss of guests' personal property. As a guest, you may be held liable for any damage caused to buildings or materials. In the event of serious disturbances requiring a call-out of emergency staff, a fee of at least 2,500 SEK will be charged. We reserve the right to evict guests who do not follow these park guidelines.
